4 Seasons 4 Poems

Discover Challenges: Numbers

I have been feeling very rhythmic today, so here is another little poem for you.  Enjoy 🙂

It’s time to don your scarf and hats
Warm winter boots or shoes
A time for lighting real log fires
And eating hearty stews.

The thaw begins and new life starts
As buds begin to show
We listen as the birds do sing
We watch the new crops grow

Too hot! Too hot! The elders cry
While young ones bathe near nude
One elder shouts “You’re going to fry!”
The young, “Just chill out dude!”

The frosts are back, the mist, the fog
The leaves begin to fall
With Hallows’ Eve, and Bonfire night
We’re bound to have a ball

    1. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment, you’re very kind.
Haha! Yes that one made me chuckle as I wrote it. It’s what our kids often say when they think we’re stressing over things, usually things like putting on the suncream 😉

      1. A real pleasure to read. Enjoyable, actually. Simple joy 😊 I like words that stimulate but easy, flowing words always top all the rest for me. Such words readily brings out smiles. 💖
