Paths: Past. Present. Future.

Belated response to the Paths photo challenge which asked us to think about the paths we’ve walked, or hope to.

2016 held many different moments for me; memories made that when remembered will evoke varying emotions of things gone by.  Last year began for me with great expectations and hope – but these were quickly dashed and the path ahead began to look very, very unclear.

Struggling through the Christmas season and the path towards 2017 still not looking great, the heart and spirit were heavy.  I was prompted to look up Philippians 3:13-14 which says:

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (emphasis added).

So, although the path is not yet clear …

The mist is lifting from the soul and, coupled with the renewing of my mind I look forward to a year ahead with HOPE (yes, I still have some).  Hope that it will be a year filled with sunshine, calm waters, reconciliation, forgiveness and love  ❤️

  1. Hello Arv, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I have just read your ‘Paths’ entry and our posts are indeed very similar.
    Your photographs are wonderful with some very interesting paths paths. I particularly like the path that leads to the Jagat Shiromani Temple, near Amber Fort,Jaipur. Amer, I should imagine the view once at the top is quite spectacular.
